A patient comes to me because they're exhausted. They're in pain. They can't sleep. They're struggling with weight gain, digestive issues, anxiety, hormonal imbalance, diabetes, chronic inflammation, or another condition that is disrupting their quality of life. They tell me how much these things interfere with their relationships, their work, their hobbies, and even their ability to enjoy the simple moments of life. Then we sit down and discuss a treatment plan. Acupuncture? Absolutely. Herbal medicine? Sometimes. Supplements? When appropriate. But inevitably, we arrive at the conversation that matters most.   Preface Before I begin, I want to be clear that I am not a politician, political analyst, or commentator. I am an integrative wellness practitioner specializing in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine. My practice places me face-to-face every day with the human nervous system — with stress, burnout, anxiety, inflammation, exhaustion, emotional dysregulation, and the physical consequences of prolonged imbalance. What I witness in individuals often mirrors what I see happening collectively in society. In East Asian Medicine, health is not the absence of symptoms, but the presence of balance.
